Coll?ge Jean-de-Br?beuf is one of Canada's most prestigious Catholic schools, founded in Montreal in 1848. It is a private college-level institution and an affiliate partner of the University of Montreal - UdeM. Located on a 6 ½ acre historic campus in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal, the college is home to over 30 national and international programs and more than 2,000 students. It offers courses in Science, Law, Arts and Humanities, Economics, Music and Social Sciences, as well as specialized courses for budding entrepreneurs.
The college is named after Jean de Br?beuf (1593-1649), the French Jesuit missionary and martyr who authored one of the earliest written accounts of Canada's First Nations people. In honour of this legacy, the college has implemented a series of initiatives to promote and recognize indigenous cultures that take place throughout the school year.
Coll?ge Jean-de-Br?beuf is made up of one large, well-equipped building and several small annexes. The college is located in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal area, surrounded by several shopping and dining options. The college also offers on-campus housing for its students. With 476 beds split across three different residence buildings, it serves as one of the primary residences in Montreal for students from all over the world.
The college also features an impressive faculty, made up of over 250 professors teaching a range of courses across the various disciplines. For undergraduates, the college currently has around 1,850 students, across a variety of programs. For graduate students, there is an additional 270 students enrolled in various Masters and PhD programs.
