Located on the east coast of Canada in the beautiful city of Saint John, the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD) has been providing students with specialized, accredited training in the visual arts in Canada for over fifty years. In addition to offering diploma and certificate programs focused on a variety of topics such as jewelry making, interior design and furniture making, the college is also one of the oldest colleges of applied arts and technology in the country.
What originally started as a centre for technical and professional training in craftsmanship has grown into a college that provides an expansive range of educational opportunities and resources for students. In its existing, aesthetically refined 84,000 square feet facility, the college offers a variety of programs in a number of disciplines, from industrial design to painting and drawing. By creating an inspirational learning environment with an emphasis on connectedness and collaboration, student resources such as studios and workshops are shared with both faculty and students.
The NBCCD has an annual enrollment of approximately 500 full- and part-time students for their diploma and certificate programs. Additionally, the college has an increasing number of continuing education and distance education courses. Comprised of a faculty of nearly 26 knowledgeable professionals, from established industry leaders to emerging talent, the college provides valuable insight and mentorship support to students throughout their respective programs.
